Andrew Jordan and Pirtek Racing will wrap up the 2015 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship at Brands Hatch this weekend (10/11 October). The season finishes at Andrew’s favourite track and he will be bidding to secure a top five championship position.

The 2015 campaign has been a real challenge for Andrew in the MG6 GT run by Triple Eight Racing and an overall lack of speed has left him frustrated as he tries to keep pace with the BMWs, Hondas and VWs.

Now comes the season finale with races 28, 29 and 30 on the challenging Grand Prix circuit at the famous Kent venue. While Andrew still has a mathematical chance of winning the title, he knows that the 64-point deficit to title favourite Gordon Shedden is way out of reach. However, there is a slight possibility of Andrew catching Colin Turkington or Matt Neal to improve on his current fifth place.

What is certain is that Andrew will be one of the pacesetters at a track where the driver can make a difference, With blind corners, ups and downs and several very fast corners, the Grand Prix circuit at Brands can really show a driver’s skill and Andrew has always been very fast there. In 2013, he sealed his BTCC crown on the GP circuit.

“I really like Brands and I’m always strong around the Grand Prix loop,” he said. “It is one of my favourite circuits. I’d rather be going there with all the pressure on Gordon Shedden and Jason Plato,” he added. Andrew’s biggest target of the weekend is a race win as that would be the ideal way to sign off what has, at times, been a frustrating season.

Pirtek is Europe’s number one provider of hydraulic solutions and mobile hose replacement, with over 170 centres supported by over 700 mobile service workshops throughout Europe. Offering solutions to a number of business sectors, including the automotive industry.

After qualifying on Saturday 10 October at 15.40, the first of three BTCC races will be at 11.30 on Sunday, with race two at 14.20 and race three at 17.05. All three races will be broadcast on ITV4. Qualifying will be broadcast live at www.itv.com and live results from the weekend will be available at www.tsl-timing.com
