Jordan returns to World Rallycross at Lydden with the Team Peugeot-Hansen

11/05/2015 | General

Andrew Jordan will contest the British round of the FIA World Rallycross Championship at Lydden Hill (22-24 May) at the wheel of a works PEUGEOT 208 WRX.
Andrew, who first made his name in rallycross, won the 2007 British Rallycross Supercar title and was the hero of the British round of the FIA World Rallycross Championship at Lydden Hill a year ago.

Rallycross has developed a huge profile over recent seasons and Andrew is thrilled to get the chance to race a front-running car at his home event. Team Peugeot-Hansen runs the 208 WRXs and Andrew says he is going all-out for overall victory after finishing on the podium in the 2014 event.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity for me and it is thanks to my relationship with Red Bull that I’ve got this chance to compete at Lydden,” said Andrew. “Last year was my first time in a Rallycross supercar since 2007 and I finished on the podium. This year I want to build on that and there is no reason why I can’t be challenging for overall victory.

“I’m thrilled at the chance to join Team Peugeot-Hansen and it will be great to work with Kenneth Hansen, the most successful driver in European Rallycross. I’m looking forward to being part of such a strong team alongside my team mates Timmy Hansen and Davy Jeanney.”

While Andrew’s main focus for 2015 is contesting the BTCC with Pirtek Racing, the chance to compete at World level in rallycross is an exciting opportunity. Much of the credit for his renowned car control, particularly in slippery conditions, clearly goes to his rallycross experience.

The Lydden Hill (Kent) event will be round four of 13 in the FIA World Rallycross Championship in a schedule that also includes events in Canada and Argentina.
