Hydraulic Solutions provider Pirtek Europe has announced the appointment of a new CEO Alex McNutt to drive the ongoing development of its market leading emergency on-site hose replacement service in the UK and beyond.
Alex built his career at ADT – then a division of Tyco International – starting as a Regional Sales Manager and rapidly climbed the ranks to Managing Director in charge of Europe and South Africa.
Over his 14 years at the company, Alex and his management team successfully worked with the ADT franchisee base to stimulate significant growth for the ADT brand. After leaving ADT in 2005, Alex took an opportunity with private equity-backed Anglian Windows as the Group Chief Executive to successfully turnaround a challenging business unit. In 2008, Alex was approached by a private equity firm to lead the international expansion of Turkey-based Pronet. Following the successful sale of the company, Alex and a partner established their own water filtration business in Turkey that they ultimately sold to a competitor.
Alex’s European experience will be invaluable to Pirtek which already operates some 700 mobile service vans from 170 dedicated centres across the UK, Ireland, Germany and the Benelux countries and which has ambitions across the European mainland.
